Here we speak to owner Gavin Holder:

Gavin, congratulations on your new KODAK EXPRESS membership. What was the driver for adding the dedicated photo business to your existing retail operation? "We have provided a photo printing and passport ID service within the GHI Computers shop since purchasing a Kodak instant print kiosk around 5 years ago. A well known name joins the Kodak Express network - London Camera Exchange Hereford

Melgray Photo in Hereford, who have been a member of the Kodak Express network for many years were recently purchased by the national retailer London Camera Exchange.

Following their subsequent review of the business proposition we were delighted when London Exchange made the decision to keep the store within the network and retain the identity of the Hereford store as a Kodak Express - rather than converting it to their usual full branding of LCE.

“Whilst many of the existing 28 branches offer a quality processing service, it was only our Chester branch that was equipped with a state of the art on site processing minilab. We see the photo printing service at Hereford continuing to be a to be a core offering for the store and see the value of retaining the iconic Kodak name above the door” said Nick Richens, Managing Director of LCE.

Like Kodak, London Camera Exchange have a rich history in the photographic industry and can trace it’s origins back to the 1950’s when the founders acquired premises in Guildford’s Tunsgate from which they operated... [Read More>]
