Kodak has now sold and installed its 100th APEX dry lab in the UK thanks to its distributor Tetenal UK ! The most widely adopted dry lab in Europe, KODAK Adaptive Picture Exchange (APEX) represents the number one choice for retailers in the region according to Futuresource and sales show no sign of slowing down in the UK.
The 100th APEX was installed in KODAK Express Photo Fun in Edinburgh, a new store which opened its doors earlier this month. Owners Zamin Hassan and Mohammed Atta-Ul-Haq made the decision to purchase their second APEX after seeing the benefits the system had brought for their first store, Cartridge Port, also in Edinburgh.
“The ease of use and reliability associated with APEX persuaded us to purchase our second system. It’s not like other systems which can crash, loose orders and eat up time and profit,” said Hassan. “Plus, with APEX, we can train our staff in as little as an hour - how many machines can you do that with?”
“Repeat orders like ours demonstrates the great advantages that APEX brings and we have every confidence that we’ll be buying more,” Hassan continues. “The APEX system offers some key features, from canvas prints to photo books and posters, which really strengthen our offer for customers. Print quality is exceptional and customers are extremely impressed, especially compared to competitors.”
Equipment and Media Product Manager for Tetenal Chris Castle commented "this is a great achievement for all concerned, both at Tetenal and Kodak. The APEX has continued to demonstrate that it is a totally versatile and modular dry lab enabling business to produce a variety of consumer friendly products of great quality.
The traditional mini lab business model has changed rapidly over the past 5 years and the only way to survive is to change. The APEX enables businesses to not only change but to improve and modernise.
The 100th APEX installation is a great achievement and we now start work on the next 100!"
