New 'Slow Grown' Canvas Stretcher Bars from Tetenal

Here at Tetenal we recently added new canvas stretcher bars into our product range to provide customers with a strong, high-quality and cost-effective solution for the busiest canvas production period of the year.

Stretcher bars exist in numerous different sizes and styles, choosing the right stretcher bar is important in regards to how the final product, stretched canvas or printed canvas, will look and feel. In order to achieve a high-quality final product, it is essential to use stretcher bars of a consistent quality.

Tetenal’s stretcher bars meet highest quality standards by fulfilling the following benefits:

  • Made from FSC certified Nordic pine wood
  • All wood is slow grown which increases stability
  • Great value for money compared to Chinese imports

Nordic pine wood is particularly strong compared to pine and other species of wood coming from southern parts of Europe. In addition, slow-grown wood offers higher stability than fast growing trees which contain more earlywood relative to the amount of latewood, making the timber less dense and typically less strong as a result.
