You can't seem to escape stories about the current Corona pandemic we are in the midst of and whilst it appear that everythng we hear is bad news, we've gathered together some positive news stories that give is a glimmer of hope that there may be some light at the end of the Covid-19 tunnel.

Robots use light beams to zap hospital viruses!
That's right, you read it correctly, a robotic engineering company in Denmark has developed a robot which can clear a room of harmful microbes.
Glowing like light sabres, eight bulbs emit concentrated UV-C ultraviolet light. This destroys bacteria, viruses and other harmful microbes by damaging their DNA and RNA, so they can't multiply.View the story here
Scientists around the world race to create a vaccine
About 35 companies and academic institutions are racing to create such a vaccine, at least four of which already have candidates they have been testing in animals.

Global lockdown illustrates how much pollution can change
In the battle against COVID-19, countries around the world are restricting gatherings, encouraging people to work from home and closing public venues. Italy is under lockdown.
All of these actions are having quantifiable consequences, particularly in our environment, scientists believe. Once the current crises has subsided, it's hoped that these learnings can be taken forward to persuade countries to seriously look at how they are polluting their countries.View the story here
